Zambia Gears Up to Host CPHIA 2023 with 5,000 International Delegates

The eagerly awaited third iteration of the International Conference on Public Health in Africa (CPHIA) 2023 is poised to attract over five thousand global delegates.

Scheduled to transpire from November 27th to 30th, 2023, the event is masterminded by the Africa Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, bringing together esteemed researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders deeply entrenched in the realm of public health.

Lusaka is the chosen backdrop for this pivotal conference, designed to function as a central nexus for the exchange of scientific insights, collaborative discourse on research, and joint endeavors aimed at securing a healthier future for the African continent.

Under the theme “Breaking Barriers: Repositioning Africa in the Global Architecture,” the conference is poised to tackle the urgent call for unified action in addressing persistent health challenges.

As per CPHIA, the lineup of confirmed speakers comprises Honorable Sylvia Masebo, Minister of Health; Professor Senalt Fisseha, Vice President of Global Programs; and the Director-General for Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Additionally, Honorable Dr. Austin Demby, Minister of Health from Sierra Leone, is among the distinguished speakers.

This initiative aims to stimulate innovation, specifically concentrating on developing solutions for the enduring infectious diseases that have consistently posed challenges to the African continent.
