Nutty O Gears Up to Ignite the Stage with ‘Cornerstone’!
Yesterday, musician Nutty O dropped exciting news about his upcoming project, the ‘Cornerstone Mixtape’.
Having previously wowed fans with hits like “Handipere Power” from the “Mustard Seed” album, the anticipation for this new mixtape is through the roof as fans anticipate the musical gems that Nutty O has in store for them this time.
Born on June 22, 1992, in Harare, Nutty O’s musical journey began with the reggae beats of UB40, a band he loved listening to with his father. Growing up, he soaked in the reggae vibes, which later became a significant influence on his own music.

High school wasn’t just about textbooks for Nutty O; it was where he earned his musical stripes. His peers dubbed him “Nutty,” a name reserved for the crazy and lit guys. The “O” came from “Operator,” a fitting title for the rare guy who could electrify his strict school environment with musical prowess.
Educationally savvy, Nutty O pursued studies in Telecommunications Systems and Digital Marketing after completing his Advanced Level. He’s out here proving that musicians can be both talented and educated.
In 2014, Nutty O took the plunge into a full-fledged musical career, catching the attention of veteran producer Funkydalic. Together, they unleashed a string of hits that resonated with the streets, earning them airplay and radio interviews.
2015 was a game-changer when Nutty O joined Kenako Muzik. His track “Kwandabva Kure” climbed local charts and even reached the third spot on DJ Edu’s BBC Radio 1 Extra Destination Africa DNA Show. The same year, he shared the stage with Jamaican artist Charly Black, closing the year with a nomination for the most promising artist at the Zimdancehall Awards.
2016 saw Nutty O accelerate his musical journey with the release of “Do It Alone,” gaining international recognition as it premiered on Jamaica’s Suncity Radio. Tours in the UK and South Africa solidified his status as a global performer.
In 2017, Nutty O signed with Military Touch Movement, owned by the legendary Jah Prayzah. His hit “Bugatti” became an anthem, and the music video climbed charts, even reaching Number 5 on the Norway iTunes reggae chart. Nutty O’s hard work paid off with the Best New Comer Award at the Zimdancehall Awards.

2018 brought even more success, with Nutty O becoming the Brand Ambassador for ZOL Fibronics and touring Australia, Botswana, and South Africa. His track “Boomshelele” catapulted him to greater heights, and he once again shared the stage with Charly Black.
2019 marked a revolutionary year for Nutty O. He collaborated with Jamaican reggae star Etana on “No Money No Love,” featured on the Grammy-nominated “Reggae Forever” album.
His influence spread globally, and he performed at the Bob Marley Commemoration Festival in Abu Dhabi, alongside Teddy Riley.
