In a recent ICC Cricket World Cup match, South Africa dominated England, handing them a massive 229-run defeat, setting a new record for the largest margin of victory by runs. The defending champions, England, are now facing a tough road ahead, having lost three out of four matches in the tournament, including unexpected losses to New Zealand and Afghanistan.

During the game, South Africa batted first and scored an impressive 399-7, with Heinrich Klaasen smashing a century (109) and Marco Jansen contributing an unbeaten 75 off 42 balls. England, on the other hand, had a rough start, falling to 38-4 after just 8.1 overs in their reply. They were eventually dismissed for a mere 170 runs in only 22 overs.

This significant win has placed South Africa in the third position in the tournament with six points, while England has dropped to the ninth position with only two points, tying with Afghanistan, who are at the bottom of the table.
